Happy, happy birthday

by Courtney on January 17, 2010

My baby is 2.  I don’t know how that happened, but he is now 2 years old.  Yesterday we had a birthday party for him, and he had a blast!

Let me just tell you that this Momma was happy and sad all at once, the whole party.  He was having so much fun, and I was having so much fun, and the party was really great, but all I could think about was the fact that he’s 2 and next year he’ll be 3, and then he’s going to be 13, and then he’s going to go to college, and then before I know it I’ll be attending his child’s second birthday party.  It breaks my heart.

I love him, and he’s amazing, and I am just so happy to be his Momma.

I loved being a part of Nate’s birthday this year! Courtney, your updated website is fabulous-very creative! The birthday pics on the site are great!! I was in WalMart in Stephenville yesterday on my way home from Plano and Denton. I stopped to talk with a demo lady who was demoing (is that a word?) a Jergens facial scrub. I told her about being at my grandson’s 2nd birthday party over the weekend and how wonderful I felt being back in TX. I also told her what a sweet, kind, happy boy Nate is because his mommy is that way too. Nate is lucky to have 2 loving parents who provide him with good direction in life! The two’s will be trying year for you because Nate will want to try to do almost everything himself- so hang on! Love to all of you…
