34 weeks…only 5 more weeks to go!
Oh, right, and I also have a stress fracture on my left foot.
How did I get a stress fracture on my foot, you might ask? By cleaning the master closet, that’s how. I was pulling baskets off our shelves, then sitting on the floor and going through them, then getting back up and grabbing more baskets, etc. I did this about half a dozen times. The problem is that it takes quite a bit of effort and maneuvering for me to get up off the floor. This generally means I have to get on all fours then sort of grunt and groan my way up to standing. After working on the closet I noticed that my left foot hurt a little, but by the next morning it was really bad. That was two weeks ago.
The podiatrist was reluctant to do an X-ray because of the baby, but he said that it was probably a stress fracture. So I’ve been in that lovely boot for a week now. He said that I would probably have to be in the boot for at least 6 weeks. So, 6-1=5, which is exactly the number of weeks until Baby Will arrives. Man, oh man, my foot better be all healed by then. I really don’t want to be hobbling around with this thing on while trying to take care of a newborn.

Oh so attractive (the boot!) You are really getting big with baby William. I think he will weigh more than Nate did at birth. Matt weighed 1 lb. more than Chris did. I’m sending you a surprise gift tomorrow thru the mail. You really need to take it easy the next 5 weeks and not be cleaning out closets or any other ‘hard to do work ‘ when you are as far along as you and Will are. The gift I am sending shall give you some peace of mind and keep you busy until delivery time!
Like you need one more thing to go wrong! Hope you’re not in too much pain. Oh, and your hair is getting long! It looks pretty.
Courtney, you look beautiful! Can’t wait till we can get together and catch up!
Hi, I was googling stress fractures and labor because I am in the same situation! I am due in 10 days and had a second metatarsal stress fracture on my left foot… not a good combination. Its been a hard couple of weeks but Im becoming more postitive about it. I’ll still have a bad foot during labor and for at least four weeks afterwards but not much I can do about it now expect for being careful and taking it easy on my foot. Still, NOT looking forward to that. Just wanted to say hi and that you are not alone! We will get through it
